We’ve come across a number of reports saying Samsung will launch the metal-clad 4.7-inch QHD (1440×2560 pixels)-sporting Samsung Galaxy Alpha (also known as the Samsung Galaxy F and known in the past as Samsung Galaxy S5 Prime) to go up against the Apple iPhone 6. However, a report is saying that the Korean tech giant may not be able to cope with the demand, as suppliers are struggling with the metal chassis.
The news comes to us courtesy of Chinese-speaking UDN. According to the report, Samsung’s Chinese suppliers can only deliver 1 million units of the Galaxy Alpha per month. This may seem a lot, but considering the amount of S5’s Samsung sells a month, it may not be able to cope with demand.
If true, we’re guessing Samsung is looking for more suppliers so it can meet consumer demand.
Of course, since Samsung is yet to officially announce the Galaxy Alpha, take this with a pinch of salt.
